Hi guys.

I can only apologise for the lack of club updates recently – I’ve not been round much due to work commitments.

We’ve had a great couple of weeks in the club. Firstly, a big thank you to Brendan Burke for his very entertaining talk on pet photography. Recent competition entries would suggest he has inspired some of our members. Brendan’s work can be seen at:

We had a studio photo session with Club member Alan James Dunne the following week. Alan took us through our paces and provided some great advice and practical tips on the night. He even provided a model which was greatly appreciated. I personally enjoyed the opportunity to shoot in a studio.

Finally, we had the pleasure of Joe Doyle from Malahide Camera Club judging our final internal competition. His feedback was spot on and much appreciated by all members. We look forward to seeing him again soon at the upcoming inter club competition.

Well done to all the winners and competitors. More info will follow in the coming days.

Having been absent from the club for a short period of time I have noticed a large change on my return. I didn’t recognise a lot of the faces. We’ve have a good turn out of new members which is very encouraging to see. I’m sure you all already feel at home when you come through the doors each Tuesday. Please remember we are all here to help so don’t hesitate to ask any questions you may have.

That’s it for now.
