Mid Louth Camera Club are opening their 20th Anniversary Exhibition in St. Brigid’s Hall at 8pm on Friday 14th October. The exhibition will continue over the course of the weekend. This is a family friendly event with free entry for all.
Mid Louth Camera Club (or MLCC for short) was established 20 years ago in Connors Pub, Dunleer by a small number of like-minded photography enthusiasts (some of whom still remain in the club). It has grown in strength over the years and is now home to 50 plus photographers. As demand grew, we were forced to find a larger premises in 2014 and we now hold our weekly meetings in St. Brigids Hall every Tuesday night (Sept – May).
The club has built a very strong national reputation over the years and we are particularly recognised for our nature and landscape work amongst many others. There is a long tradition of national and international photography awards amongst club members which demonstrates the highest quality of work coming from what is still considered a small club. While awards are nice to have, they are of secondary importance to the club who prioritize a fun and friendly atmosphere in which to learn about and advance our photography skills.
This is a special event for the club as it is our 20th year. We open on Friday night with reception drinks & food.
The exhibition features a print display with a large variety of work ranging from amateur to professional photographers from around the area. There is also an audio visual display of other work as some of our members have branched out into video work and drone photography. Members will be on hand over the course of the weekend to help with any queries.
We look forward to welcoming all guests.
