Last Tuesday we had a great outing to Monasterboice with some great images taken as well as some great fun had!
I have certainly seen some great images popping up on Facebook and Twitter from the night so well done to all who took part and for those who missed it, you certainly missed a great evenings fun and Photography!
This Tuesday we have a distinction Prep night and one of our new members, Brian Hopper, will be on hand to answer any of your questions about the IPF Distinction process that you might have.
Brian is a former IPF Distinction Secretary and so is more than qualified to offer his advice on the subject.
We also have plenty of distinction holders in the club who will be more than happy to offer their advice and experiences also and I would hope that some of these members will also bring along their successful panels on the night so that you can see exactly what goes into the whole process.
It should be a very informative night and hopefully will encourage more members to go for their distinctions!
For those of you who ever entered any Salons, ( international photography competitions for those of you who think I’m talking about getting my hair done! ), there are some very interesting images after going on display in the Glenside Hotel on the Dublin Road between Drogheda and Julianstown.
There are 30 images on display that were part of the recent London Salon and there really are some fantastic images up there! This is well worth a visit as it will give those who never entered a salon, a chance to see what type of images are entered into these and the London Salon is certainly up there as one of the most prestigious ones you can enter!
